CLUB RICOCHET COMPETITION
Club Ricochet Competition: Rules of Competition
The Ricochet Croquet Singles Competition is a handicap competition conducted as set out in the “Australian Laws Book” of the Australian Croquet Association Inc., and taking into account the “General Competition Rules – Golf Croquet”.
The Ricochet Competition will be run from July through August with players organising their own game times to be played.
If neither player has a “clubhouse key”, games need to be organised at the same time as any of the daily sessions, except Tuesday morning and or Thursday morning. Players are responsible for setting up the courts and pulling them down. If the players do not have a clubhouse key, then the games must conclude at the same time as the daily session so all equipment can be put away and locked up by the Day Captain. Please have the courtesy to contact the relevant Day Captains to organise court time for your games. Just turning up on the day may result in no courts being available.
Conditions of Play
• The ricochet competition is a knockout singles competition.
• Handicaps will be used during games.
• Games can be played during the Tuesday ricochet session, or at a mutually agreed time.
• Games will be 26 hoop games played on full size courts
• Each game is a timed game of 2-hours
• When time finishes, the player on the court is to finish their turn and the opponent is to have one more turn.
Competition Draw
• The draw will be dome by the Club Captain on a seeded basis
• Once the draw has been made, it will be posted at the clubhouse and players notified by email.
Winner
• The preliminary knock-out rounds will culminate in a final between the two players winning through their respective halves of the draw.
