State Pennants 2019

The Golf State Pennants are an annual competition organised by Croquet NSW. The first rounds of matches are played in regions: Hunter, Northern Sydney, South Coast/ACT and South/West Sydney.

Regional matches need to be concluded by 30th April with the winning teams from each region being invited to play in a final series to determine the Division Champions. It is expected that the final series will be at CNSW HQ at Mackey Park, Tempe (Sydney) on Friday 3rd June (Division 2) and on Monday 6th June (Division 3).

Teams comprise 4 players and each match against another club consists of two team members in a doubles match and the other two team members in singles matches. All three matches are best of three 13-point games with no specified time limits.

Final Results

Division 2 finished 3rd in the Hunter Region, behind Newcastle National Park (who finished 6-0 on matches) and Maitland A (who finished 4-2 on matches, the same as Nelson Bay, but who finished 2nd as their game score was 12-6 versus 11-5).

In Division 3, the Nelson Bay teams finished 1st and 2nd in the Hunter Region, both finishing 4-1 on matches but Division 3 L will go to Sydney for the finals as their game score was 10-5 versus 9-6.

The Division 3 final will be played in Sydney on Monday 6th May 2019.
